Gram’s Promise Charitable Foundation was founded in late 2005 in memory of Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Frist who died from lung cancer, August 8, 2005. As Libby battled her illness she talked about her desire to get well and share her experience with young people to discourage them from smoking.
Libby, a longtime White Marsh, MD resident, had a heart of gold. She was a caring and loving person who, above all, cherished her family.
Libby’s wish lives on through her foundation. With community support and charitable donations, Gram’s Promise will continue to encourage tobacco-free lifestyles through community activities and the Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Frist Memorial Scholarship.
